WM Studios has produced another piece of open source software. Check out Open Source under our products page and download wmEvents to try it on your Joomla site! It installs as one component plus two site modules.
Component (com_wmevents) Create and publish events with start/end dates, venue, organiser, images, featured/important flags, and an optional countdown. The site lists upcoming events in a blog layout (like articles). Once an event’s date has passed, it drops into a past-events archive automatically.
Calendar module Shows this month (and optionally next). Days with events are highlighted; important/featured dates stand out more.
Countdown module Pick an event in the module settings. The front end shows the title and how many days remain.
Requires Joomla 6 and PHP 8.3. Install via pkg_wmevents-1.0.1.zip.
